Rachel Marsh v.s. Chloe King

Author’s Note: Between “The Fifth of March” and “The Nine Lives of Chloe King” the main character in these stories are similar, but also different.

Between these two magnificent stories, “The Fifth of March” and “The Nine Lives of Chloe King” these two books have the same themes of bravery, confidence, and the effects of war. There are similarities and also differences between the main characters. For starters, Rachel Marsh is a maidservant for a family in the late 1700’s. While, on the other hand Chloe King is an ordinary high school girl, in the present time.

Meanwhile Rachel is feeling stressed out, and confused about everything in her life. She doesn’t know what to do with her life anymore, and she doesn’t know if helping her friend, Matthew Kilroy, is hurting everyone around her with her actions. While Chloe is having the emotions of being too stressed out to handle anything in her life anymore. She wishes she could forget everything that’s been happening to her, and go back to her normal life; before she found out she had to rule an ancient industry with “cat people”. Therefore both of the main characters in these marvelous novels have somewhat of the same emotions regarding their lives and what has been going on in these two books.

In one case in the beginning of books, Rachel was a shy maidservant girl that works for the Adam’s family, while Chloe was a shy girl with her family and friends and people at school. In both books, both of the characters learned how to speak their minds clearly and sternly, and doesn’t care what people think of them anymore. Rachel and Chloe just have different reasons of why they changed. Rachel was sick of not being listened to, and Chloe had to change to run the university, because she apparently is their leader.

Almost every book ever created has differences, so therefore these two main characters have differences. When Rachel first moved to Boston, she had only made friends with the Adam’s family and a girl named Jane. Chloe likes to hangout and talk to older women and men, than talk to younger ones. Her friends are teaching her the ways of life, and how she should act. On the other hand, Chloe has two best friends and her mother. They are always there for her, and they never leave her side. Her best friends are just like her, so they can’t tell Chloe how to act. Unlike Rachel is trying to learn how to educate herself, while Chloe is being educated from going to school.

Rachel Marsh and Chloe King have interesting lives in front of themselves. In the novels “The Fifth of March” and “The Nine Lives of Chloe King” they have to figure out what role they play in their lives.

Conflicts

Author’s Note: In the book “The Fifth of March” there are many conflicts within the story. Between fighting for what people believe in, or losing friendships.

Whether or not you are Americans or the British, you will want to fight for what you believe in. This will cause riots, because everyone wants the citizens, or townspeople to choose which side they are on. With all of these conflicts in the book “The Fifth of March” people will be soon to die, or tragedy will come upon people’s lives.

When you start to first read this story, you’re most likely are wondering what side, the British or the Americans, that the main character is on. Rachel, the main character, has not decided what side she is on, and what side she should fight for. She ponders this in her head every day, when the British troops first traveled to Boston. Later on, her friend Jane, helps her decide. Because of this, Rachel thinks she is an American, and she will fight for what she believes in.

During this time, if you did not pick the right side, you might get in a fracas or a riot between the two sides. Anyone in Boston could have gotten hurt from these fights. They have been happening a lot lately around town, because everyone wants freedom and they have all chosen sides, and they are finally fighting for what they believe in.

Some people have made friends with the soldiers, such as Rachel. Rachel has fallen in love with a soldier named Private Matthew Kilroy. She has become friends with him, but he has also fallen in love with her. Rachel has also made friends with citizens around town, but either they have passed away, moved, or not talking to her as much anymore with all of the problems going on around Boston. Even if Rachel was able to hang around all of her friends, there are still a few conflicts with the way things are going on.

Between fighting with everyone, and for what you believe in, you may or may not lose the people you love in your life. In the story “The Fifth of March” the citizens that live in Boston have lived in crisis the past 2 years. There are too many conflicts for some people to handle.

Fifth of March

Author’s Note: I want to talk about what people feel and think about the book I am reading at the moment. The book “The Fifth of March” discusses the troubles that happened when the British troops traveled to Boston and stayed for a few months.

In “The Fifth of March” Rachel Marsh has just transferred to Boston, because of her monstrous Uncle Jeb. Both of her parents died when she was younger, and now her uncle is the authority of herself. She is having troubles throughout her lifetime lately, and she is confused about what she should try and do.

As you may presume Rachel is the narrator for this storyline of the book. Therefore, this chronicle is a story about Rachel’s life, and her point of view of the world. She takes the events in her life, and possibly recreates them to her style. It may have an effect on what actually happened, or it may not. Rachel thinks certain ideas and thoughts, and she lives her own lifestyle.

This paperback may, or may not get the reader’s emotions going, but I know it did for me. It has many vivid images that you can picture in your mind, for what is happening. Rachel’s emotions most likely effect how you feel about other characters in the storyline. Such as, Rachel doesn’t like her Uncle Jeb, because it seems like he does not care for her, and all he wants is her inheritance from her parents. Therefore I predict that almost everyone that reads this story won’t like him either. It all depends on how the main character feels about everything, then that’ll affect how the reader’s see the story.

In other words, if Uncle Jeb was the narrator, or main character of the story, I supposed he would tell everything different. From the day he moved to Boston, to now when he got attacked from a mob of strangers. He would most likely tell his side of how he feels about Rachel, but he tries to hide it from her. He would also inform the readers on how he lives these days selling and making clothes and shoes.

Formally most books have one main character, and that main character notifies the reader’s about their lives, as you can see. The main point of view of a story or tell-tale forces the readers to imagine just one side of the story, for an event or topic. So you can see that in “The Fifth of March” Rachel Marsh has a different view point from any other character in the story.

Dynamic

Author’s Note: I want to be graded on the Character Development on the reading rubric. My writing piece is about Ponyboy and how he has changed with his actions and emotions throughout the Outsider’s book.

Throughout the magnificent story of “The Outsider’s” there is a 14 year old teenage Greaser that lives with his two older brothers and is part of a group that lives in the East side of town, or the so called poorer side of town. This young boy’s name is Ponyboy Curtis.

Ponyboy is an educated, sleek, green eyed and light brown haired Greaser that can be quiet when wanted, and loud when necessary. You could never see him not around his gang, or group of friends/family. Ponyboy loves his fellow friends and family members, most likely more than any other teenager. But he does have his moments when he just likes to be alone. But doesn’t everybody?

Momentarily Ponyboy was such a great, innocent teenager before all of the deaths and accidents that occurred. He used to always get impressive grades on his tests and homework sheets. He used to also be caring and kind to practically everyone around him, unless you truly did upset him. Ponyboy always had an eye-catching eye where he could notice anyone’s different attitudes or if they ever looked different. Many other changes have occurred over the past few weeks, but Ponyboy is still the same old Ponyboy, just a slight change in character.

At the very moment, Ponyboy has changed after the three deaths; his two friends, and enemy; Johnny, Dally, and Bob. He is still innocent, but he has changed with how he works and does things, and also how he acts. His grades have dropped down to C’s and D’s, unlike before when he used to get A’s and B’s. He is still getting a pretty good grade in math though, because Darry checks his homework papers and corrects them if any of the problems are incorrect. Now he is depressed and under a lot of stress. You can’t blame him though. Most likely anyone that just had their friends die would be upset about it. But now Ponyboy is acting tougher, and isn’t caring as much if he hurts anyone’s feelings.

Therefore through thick and thin through this entire book of The Outsider’s, we have learned people can change, such as Ponyboy. Ponyboy is a dynamic character because he has changed how he acts, and even how he looks. In the ending of the story, a few Socs come up to Ponyboy and threaten to beat him. Ponyboy doesn’t back down though, like everyone expected out of him. He stood his ground and threatened to hurt each and every Soc that bothers him. Normally Ponyboy would have been frightened and possibly called for help. But no, not this time. Now his friends don’t have to worry as much about him. Ponyboy has learned how to handle situations, and he has become tougher throughout what has all happened to him, and others.

Another book that I have read has a character some-what like Ponyboy. This book is “The Nine Lives of Chloe King”. Chloe is a character that hangs out with certain people, and is frightened about almost everything. She only lives with her mother, because her father walked out on her when she turned five years old. Now they have no idea if he is even still alive. Chloe one day has an adventure with her friends, but almost dies, because she fell off a tower. Later on in the book, she learns her path of life and starts to follow it. By the end of the book, she isn’t as frightened as much, and she can stick up for what she believes, without being shy. She has changed in character, such as Ponyboy did.

In the mist of the East-side of town, there is a 14 year old boy named Ponyboy Curtis. He is a Greaser, and lives with his two older brothers in the poorer side of town. In the adventurous book of “The Outsiders” Ponyboy has a hard time with life at first, but in the end he has learned many facts about is friends and family members. Ponyboy is a dynamic character because he has changed throughout the story.

Author’s Note: I was thinking of the interesting book The Outsider’s, and I so happened to just feel like writing a poem. It may not be the best poem in the universe, but I hope it isn’t the worst.

Troublesome between every Soc and Greaser
Hopelessly searching for a way out of the society
Enormous amount of drama between the friends and families

Outstanding ways of defying what happened with Ponyboy’s point of view
Understandable
Terrified for their lives if they ever got jumped
Stupid resolutions with what all happened
Interesting ideas of explaining facts and opinions; which brings readers into the story even more
Dangerous between all of the fights, blades and guns
Enormous amount of problems to deal with in each other’s lives
Rumbling with Socs can be dangerous if they bring any weapons
Stumbling through life without a few of their friends is even more heart breaking that before

Importance of Family and Stereotypes

Author’s Note: I am going to be writing about the importance of family and stereo types.

In the glorious book, The Outsiders by the author of S.E. Hinton, there was a gang, or group of people named the Greasers. These groups of people have jailbirds, stealers, killers, and many other kinds of personalities. But, this group also has scholars, protectiveness, and caring, respectful people in this group. They all care for each other; just they all show it in different ways.

When these Greasers hangout it possibly could come to troubles within themselves. Most Greasers don’t do anything as horrible as killing people, but you never know. Although most Greasers aren’t educated, they can all be street smart, instead of book smart. A few people that are actually book smart are Johnny, who is 16 and normally quiet around everyone, and Ponyboy, who is 14 and loves to read.

Out of the whole gang of Greasers, there are smaller gangs inside of it. One group in particular has mostly brothers or really great friends. These Greasers names are Dally, Two-Bit, Steve, Johnny, Darry, Sodapop, and Ponyboy. There are three brothers in this gang; Darry, Sodapop and Ponyboy. Even though they are all fantastic friends, they’re more like family.

When the tragedy of Johnny murdering Bob struck, all hecks broke loose after that. Ponyboy and Johnny had to run away so they wouldn’t be put in jail, but then they got hurt from saving children from a church that had caught on fire. When Ponyboy and Johnny became injured, the crew became closer, or more caring.

Then when Johnny and Dally died, they were all disturbed over everything. So yes, even Greasers can feel/have emotions and act just like any other person would. Greasers are just like people, but no one realizes this. Everyone expects the Greasers to be poor, unattractive, greasy, rough/dangerous, and get in a hassle with the cops a lot. No one expects Greasers to be educated, compassionate/gentle, and doesn’t get into trouble many times. People can be what you don’t expect of them, and that’s just how some of the Greaser’s are. It’s their own personalities, no one else’s.

People named the Greasers, was a group or gang that always hung out together. Some groups were jailbirds, or stealers. Other groups were more like family; which I thought they had better personalities that way. In the book “The Outsider” by the author of S.E. Hinton, it discusses the hard core life of being a greaser.

The Outsiders

Authors Note: I am going to discuss what has happened with Dally.

In the streets of the East-side of town, a massive group of people named the “Greasers” all hang out around town. While on the other side of town, the West-side, there is a group of people named the “Socs”. This group of people, are the Greasers enemies, just because they have everything and they don’t. Socs have education, money, cars, clothes, and many other objects that the Greasers can’t afford, or they just can’t have them.

Greasers drink and smoke and do many terrible things. These Greasers do have some trouble makers in the group, but only a few. Most of them have jobs, or go to school, but almost all of them do drink and take drugs. One of the top trouble makers in town is named Dally. He drinks and takes drugs every day. He vandalizes property whenever he is bored or gets mad. Dally does not live in a home, because his family members don’t enjoy him around and he didn’t enjoy living there anymore. Also, he is un-educated and hasn’t gone to school in a few years.

Even though Dally does many of these things almost every single day, he is a good person inside. He cares about his group of friends, more like brothers, and he treats them with respect, most of the time. Yes, he doesn’t truly like all of the people in his gang, but he will protect them know matter what happens.

Johnny and other street goers look up to Dally, because they all think he’s a tough/tuff man. Some of them wish they had the encouragement and skills to law-break and do other things that make up Dally’s reputation. But Dally is one of the best, tough people around the Greasers.

The Greaser’s, a huge group or gang of people that live in the East-side of town, have bad reputations. Greasers can’t afford the same things that the Socs can. The Socs are the enemies of the Greasers and neither of them gets along well.

Best Friends

Author’s Note: This is a compare and contrast paper between the main characters in my book that I am reading.

In the book I am previously reading at the moment, the two main characters Rose Hathaway and Lissa Dragomir, are almost complete opposites, but yet they are best friends. This series concludes that even if you are nothing like someone, you can still become friends with anyone.

Between the years Rose and Lissa have become best friends, even if they are practically almost nothing alike. Rose is a strength and endurance dhampir, who protects everyone she can, and she loves to have fun and go to many parties and fool around with people. Rose also likes fighting and getting into trouble whenever she can. Yet she can also always have time to sit down with anyone and help them, even if she has her own problems to work out. While on the other hand, Lissa loves to help people and she tries to find the best in everyone. She hates fighting and hurting people though, and that’s where the difference between Rose and Lissa comes in.

With these differences of Rose liking to party and likes to fight, and Lissa seeing the goodness in people, they still manage to be best friends. I can observe that they might equal each other out, and that’s how they keep their relationship going. I’ve noticed with myself and my own best friend, we act completely different at times, but other times it seems like we could be sisters. So I can relate to their relationship and how it all worked out.

Then with all of the similarities between the two best friends, I can make out how they can also stick together through the worst possible times. They are both devoted to always helping people, and they can practically read each other’s minds because they know each other too well. Lissa is slowly learning to have more fun and go to more parties, so that’s another item that Rose and Lissa have in common together.

Rose can search out any fight she desires, but she loves to kill and fight Strigoi. She even went on a killing spree while she was in Russia looking for her lover that has turned Strigoi, while Lissa is the quiet and non-hurtful type of girl. Even when Lissa threw a punch at a guardian, it hurt her so much from the pain and from hurting someone.

In this series named the “Vampire Academy”, that I am currently reading, Lissa Dragomir and Rosemarie Hathaway, have many troubles throughout the past two years. They stick together through the best and the worst possible times. The two of them will always be best friends, even if they are almost the exact opposite from one another.

Dating

Authors Note: I found this poem and I truely love it.

It is the joyous part of upper schools
For it is cliche no doubt
The way some special someone likes just you
You’re the person they cannot live without

It gives you this little feeling
On the inside of your throat
It can take you on a journey
On a mystical love boat

You never know how long it lasts
So cherish every second
From here to Texas
To India from here
To everywhere

From the holding of the hands
To the holy, gracious kiss
Even for just once in your life
It is something you just can't miss

It kinda makes you noticed
Though it could make you hated
Why don't we just say
It is very complicated

Poem from Natalie W

I may dress the way I want
I may act the ways I like
I may get shot down by others
Though trust me I'll still fly

I may like to explore the yonder
I may count the hands of time
I may wonder what the answers are
Though trust me I'll still fly

I may try and cheat the hours
I may skip through grassy skies
I may dance with whales and dolphins
Though trust me I'll still fly

I may skim through boring books
I may make an off tune lullaby
I may write a story, pen and paper
Though trust me I'll still fly

I may try to make ends meet
I may ask you who what where and why
I may not drink the clearest waters
Though trust me I'll still fly

I may have many fears
I may not want to ride real high
I may put on a fake smile
Though trust me I'll still fly

I may not keep a promise
I may be like this 'til I die
I may not wear my shoes
Though trust me I'll still fly

Haunted House

Ghosts and Monsters
All fake, there's no doubt
Jumping out at you
As you scream with a shout

The dry, old wood
Creaks as you walk

With the taste of dust on your tongue
You can hear quiet voices
wispering about

You can smell the raw smell of death
As it walks beind someone
Someone you know
You call out
"Hello?"

Proud of Country

Author’s Note: I will be talking about whether or not I am proud of my country, and the reasons why.

My country is very different from all of the rest of the countries, and I am proud of it. I think everyone should be proud of the United States, because they can make good things happen, instead of bad.

We, the people, the soldiers and the government all protect each other and keep people living, instead of everyone dying. From all of the small wars going on, to people just simply protecting each other it all equals together to make everyone protect each other from threats and dangers. The government comes up with laws to help benefit our safety, and people follow them. Therefore everyone around the world helps each other keep everyone safe and out of harm’s way.

In the United States we are allowed to speak our minds without getting into trouble. Us the Americans have the freedom of speech. The United States also has more freedoms such as, do what we want to do and we could wear anything we want. Although we can practically do anything we wanted, there are some illegal things we aren’t a loud to do. We are all very lucky to live in the country that we live in. In other countries people are not a loud to speak their minds, and aren’t a loud to do whatever they want. Also some countries don’t even allow people to wear whatever they wanted. Other countries are very stricter about everything someone does, while in the United States you could only get into trouble from doing the illegal things.

People come all over the world to live and visit the United States because we have such a fantastic country. Anything can happen, but citizens in the United States always try to make the best of it. People living here should be proud of the United States.

Frostbite

Authors Note: I am writing about the book Frostbite, and the main character in it, Rose.

Rose Hathaway (Rosemarie Hathaway) has dark brown hair, and it sometimes looks like black. She has blue eyes, but they sometimes turn brown. Rose is one of the smallest students there, but she has the most attitude in herself. She causes so much trouble through the years that she has been there, that people expect her to do something reckless that gets her into trouble. Anyone that has ever heard of her is either frightened, or excited that they have met her.

When Rose was first born, she had met her mother, but not her father. Her mother was one of the best guardians, so therefore her mother was never by her. Meanwhile her father is in another city, state or country. No one truly knows because no one has ever seen him in awhile. Rose was placed in the Academy when she turned five. After that she has rarely ever seen her mother and she still hasn’t ever seen her father.
This young 17 year old girl is one of the top rank students at the Academy School. She will soon graduate to be a guardian for a royal. She has already been assigned a royal though, and her name is Lissa Dragomir. Lissa is Rose’s best friend, and practically sister. Lissa is also one of the Moroi princesses, so she needs a guardian at all times when she grows up. Rose and Lissa share a bond together, but the bond only goes one way. So therefore Rose can always see what Lissa is doing and thinking at any time, but Lissa cannot do anything about it. Lissa can though send mind messages through their bond. Two years ago Rose and Lissa had ran away from the Academy for two years because Rose was trying to protect Lissa from the dangers of her spirit powers. After the two years were up the Academy had found them at their college dorm, and forced them to go back and finish the last year of school.

When they finally got back to the school, Rose had to catch up with all of the rest of the guardians-in-training so then she could graduate at the end of the year and then become an actual guardian and protect Lissa. She had to train more than the rest of them, to build back her strength. Rose then met a guardian from Russia named Dimitri. Then she started to have this major crush on him, and she found out after a few weeks that he also had a crush on her. This caused problems between the two of them, but they didn’t care.

Then when they came back from the Academy, Rose had to help prevent four students from being killed from Strigoi and humans. Even though later on they finally got out of the house that they were being held hostage in, Mason, one of the guardians, had been killed trying to protect Rose. Now everyday Rose has nightmares and thinks she is seeing his ghost linger around the Academy school. He apparently wanted something from her, but she can’t figure out what it is. So now she is worried that she is going insane and needed to prove to herself that she wasn’t going insane just because of what had happened.

Lately Rose has been trying to keep everyone around her alive, including herself. But this task is difficult when she already has her own problems and she can’t be protecting everyone at all times, like she used to be able to do. From all of the problems in her life, to all of the problems with protecting Lissa and her friends, her life is complicated and she can’t figure out what to do.

Persuasive Argument paper (gun outlaw)

Authors Note: I am writing this paper to convince the police officers and the government that they should not allow anyone to carry around a gun freely, without getting into trouble.

I have come to notice that the government has passed a law saying that you may carry around a gun out in public, but only if it is in a case, or holster. I predict that there will be more causes of death and tragedy in life between everyone. There are many ways why we shouldn’t be allowed to carry a loaded gun out in public, even if it is covered.

First, it was illegal to buy a gun, unless for hunting, and you still needed a permit and permission to have a gun for hunting. Now the government and the police departments are letting people buy guns and carry them around in gun holsters out in public. Although, people are not allowed to carry the guns around school properties, if wanted to carry a gun by a school, they would have to stay a thousand feet away. Hunters can benefit from carrying around guns, because then they can therefore hunt openly without a permit, until November 1st, but they still question the law and whether or not it’s safe.

Second, if anyone saw you with an armed gun out in public and they don’t feel safe, they would be terribly scared for their life and then run away, so you might not have anyone to talk to if their afraid. I wouldn’t want to be close to anyone that has a loaded hand gun, unless I trusted them. I think it’s pointless that people would carry around guns in holsters out in public, when they could possibly get into trouble from it.

Most importantly, if you ever carried around a loaded gun, you could injure or hurt yourself or anyone around you. You could all of a sudden accidently shoot yourself if carrying the gun in the holster. Or you could accidently pretend to point the gun at someone and then pull the trigger. So I wonder why the government let the law pass, when anyone and possibly everyone could become injured in the process of being shot or injured in the process.

Lastly, I have noticed that the government has come up with the idea of it being okay to carry around guns in public, if in a secure place. With this new law anyone and possibly everyone could become endangered from the possible risks.

A letter to Katniss

Author’s note: This is a letter to Katniss Evergreen, from the book Hunger Games. I am a huge fan of her and I like her fighting against the Capital.

Hello Katniss,

Hi Katniss! I am one of your biggest fans! I would like to congratulate you on winning the Hunger Games. You are a great shooter with your arrow, and it was a smart idea to try and protect the ones you love. You shouldn’t have tried to eat the poisonous berries though. That idea did let you win the games, but it wasn’t the smartest idea in the world because it almost killed you. Also it wasn’t the smartest idea because it started the revolution between the districts and the Capital; which then later on started the war.

Did you like shooting back at the Capital, while in the few other districts? Did you shoot back because you wanted to protect everyone, or was it because you were that mad at them? It was extremely kind of you to go into the hospital in District 8 and talk to all of the sick and injured citizens. Haymitch was correct when he told you that everyone looks up to you. People look up to you because you can save mostly everyone’s lives and can stop all of the fighting that’s going on. You can also bring entertainment to places and people that are struggling. So yes I agree with Haymitch when he says that everyone looks up to you. Over time you have learned to handle all of the attention though. Great job on that!

Katniss you shouldn’t have kept lying to everyone about you loving Peeta. Since you pretended, and half the Capital knew that, the Capital therefore captured and tortured him so you would then give up on fighting against them and give up. But instead in the end you help your ground and held your head high. You stayed tough enough to keep him, and the rest of the Districts alive. I know it was a struggle through it all, but you made it out alive. I am sorry about your sister Prim though. It was such a sacrifice and I’m sorry what happened.

You did a great thing on going into the Capital and fighting against them with your team of soldiers. Even though you did lose many friends and teammates, you did a very good job on killing President Snow and Plutarch. That ended the war between everyone. Now you may live your life the way you want it, without worrying about everyone’s safety.

Again, very good job on ending the war and winning the Hunger Games!

Sincerely,

Madison Pribyl

Best Child

Madison Pribyl
Best Child
Imagine becoming a great child all of a sudden and your parents keep questioning you why you’re acting like the best child in the world. You tell them why, but they don’t believe that you are telling them the truth. Even when we children tell the truth our parents still don’t believe until they see the actual truth, then they finally believe.
When, us the children, happen to stumble upon something strange or creative, we most likely run up and tell our parents. Though if they think we are lying to them we would have to show them proof. In the story “Deep Water” by William O. Douglas, the character William was going on a jog in his thick woods about a mile from his house. While he was jogging he noticed some blue water a few yards away, when he looked up from the muddy and sticky ground that is always full of leaves and sticks. William walked over to the water and noticed then that it was a huge lake. He was amazed by its beauty and that he has never seen this lake before.
This was one of the most amazing sights he has ever set his eyes on, he thought. All of a sudden he was becoming hot because he was standing in sunlight. William took off his shirt and dived into the lake without thinking. He was hot and he had a thought of swimming in this beautiful lake for at least a few minutes. While he was swimming he noticed some fish around him, but one stuck out, out of all of them. This fish had so many bright colors on itself that William went straight towards it and picked it up from the water. The fish was squirming in his hands, but all of a sudden the fish stopped, starred at William and then said “Why are you holding onto me?! I can barely breathe!” William screamed, dropped the talking fish, and ran away out of the water.
Meanwhile he ran out of the lake and to home. He was so freaked out that he didn’t even look back. William ran all the way home, while tripping on some sticks getting there. Once he finally got home he ran into his room and sat down on his bed. William’s parents both came into his room all of a sudden and went right towards him. He told them what happened and they thought he was joking around. The parents didn’t take him seriously so they left him.
After a few hours William ran back to the lake and tried to find the talking fish, which scared him before. While searching for the magical talking fish, he started towards the deep, sea weeded area of the lake. A fish showed up, but William could barely see if it was the correct fish that he wanted. This fish came up and started talking, so therefore William knew that this was the fish he has been hoping to find for at least an hour now. When the talking fish started to say hello, William grabbed him and ran. He ran forever until he returned to his house and put the colorful fish into a bowl. He yelled at his parents to come and see what he brought home. When they came running towards him he held up the talking fish. The parents freaked out and screamed at him to put it back in the lake where it belongs. William started to cry and weep until he thought of an idea. “Well what if I cleaned up the house by myself for me to keep this fish?” His parents thought about it, but after awhile they both just said “No”. William then started to run around cleaning the house like a mad men.
After a few hours of cleaning the house, it was then spotless. The parents thought about it more, and then agreed, but only if he cleans the house by himself for the next month during every weekend. William jumped up and down in joy and became extremely happy. He ran straight towards his magical talking fish, and said to him “I get to keep you! I get to keep you forever!” he exclaimed. His parents still couldn’t believe that they would be keeping a talking fish in their house.
If parents don’t believe their children, then there is no trust between them. Sometimes children tell their parents something, and yet they still don’t believe you, but when you show them what you are talking about then they understand.

Our life; Our thoughts

Madison Pribyl
Our life; Our thoughts
If you have ever thought exciting or horrible thoughts, has your emotions turned into something completely different? Feelings and such can most likely turn into something much more complex. A quote “Our life is what our thoughts make it” reminded me of this that your emotions can control you in a way that you like, or dislike.
Certainly everyone has thoughts that either lead to great and joyful surprises or to horrible situations. Let’s just hope everyone can be pleased by their thoughts and make sure they act respectfully and favorably. Sadly, that rarely happens. Everywhere in the world there are disasters going on, that you mostly can’t prevent to stop. Even though you may not think bad thoughts, you can still be lead to do insane ideas from family or friends.
People do become different from when you first met them, either from just simply looking different, or acting different. If one of your friends becomes upset for some weird reason, then you might want to try and help. So therefore if you help, they might become pleased and then have pleasant thoughts. Even though someone acts like their happy and joyful, that may not be true. Everyone might want to check up on their friends and see how everything’s going in there life. If you don’t, that friend might be depressed or sad and will be thinking horrible thoughts.
Whenever you are upset, just think of your happy times in life. That’s what I do. I bet that’s what many people do to calm their nerves. I also try acting cheerful, to cover myself from being upset. Many people believe that I am always a cheerful girl, which truly when I come home to my house, I am that gloomy and miserable girl, because I think bad thoughts about myself and my life. I shouldn’t do that, and neither should anyone else in the world.
I have heard of a saying that is actually very popular. This saying is from Marcus Aurelius and he came up with the quote “Our life is what our thoughts make it.” This quote means that if you think horrible thoughts, your future might turn into a disaster. Then if you think joyful and helpful images, you will hopefully turn into a wonderful person. That saying may seem extremely silly to believe, but it is very true. Another quote similar to Marcus Aurelius’s quote is “Control your emotions or they will control you.” You always have to control your emotions, or you will scream and shout at people when upset, but if you’re cheerful then you can help spread your emotion.
Everyone should be happy at times, but sadly that never happens. All around you there are upset and depressed people, even if they try and hide it. It would be a helpful and pleasant world if everyone also thought good thoughts instead of bad. You might think awful thoughts, which might lead to a terrible future if you do something wrong. Therefore everyone hopefully will grow up to become wonderful and caring citizens.

Illusions
Have you ever seen or heard anything suspicious? If you have imagined something and then found out there was nothing there, you might think you’re insane. Then if you go see a doctor, that doctor probably can’t help you. You will have to live your life knowing something is wrong with you, that you can’t help with.
Although seeing strange objects, you will become to believe your brain and eyesight are messing with you. Even if you start to think you’re going insane, there probably is a reason why you are seeing things that aren’t truly there. You might have some type of sickness, or you just miss something or someone. There is a chance that you will most likely have a sickness with you that you may or may not be able to help with, but if you do have an illness and the doctor tells you what you may have, the illnesses name is most likely Schizophrenia Disorder. This disorder contains hearing sounds that aren’t even there and also coming across seeing things that are also not there.
While possibly having this disorder you may not have a lot of movement for long periods of time. Also you won’t be able to speak at some moments in time. Another symptom is that you think that other people will try and hurt you just because of the illness you have. There are many more symptoms that you may gather when you have this Schizophrenia Disorder. Most of the time men get this poor health symptom rather than women. The men start to get this disease around their early 20’s. Women start to gather it in their late 20’s, early 30’s.
When I was enjoying a book called “Shadow Kiss” by Richelle Mead, there’s a part that reminded me of this disorder. The main character of the book thought she saw a friend of standing a few yards away, but this friend was dead. She thought she was going insane on by seeing him still alive. She struggled with the thought of thinking he was still alive, without anyone knowing it. When I had read this part, I thought of Schizophrenia Disorder. I also had a connection to that part of the book because I hear and see things that can’t be explained. I thought I was going insane, but then I just misunderstood what I heard and saw. Many people do the same that I had done, but this is normal.
When you may have seen or heard objects you might think you’re insane. Then you will believe you can’t do anything to help yourself, but when you truly consider it, you may ask a doctor and ask what has been happening to you. If the doctor cannot help you with your problem, people may imagine that you’re insane and that you can’t do anything to help yourself.
